The per-item Trade In payout was calibrated for one item at a time - bulk trade-in (below) removed that pacing and let points come in far faster than intended. Cut to roughly a fifth of its previous rate, for both single-item and bag trade-in.
Trading in old magic gear no longer means one item at a time. Hand the Warden a whole bag - it checks everything inside, including nested pouches, tells you what qualifies and what it's worth, and melts down every eligible item in a single trade.
The maximum Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence you can reach through gear and bonuses is up from 150 to 225. Applies automatically to every existing character, not just new ones - no action needed.
A configuration typo left the shard's overall treasure map drop chance effectively guaranteed instead of the much lower rate we intended. Corrected to the intended rate - separate from the per-creature fixes made back on August 3.
Swing Speed Increase is now available on weapons, Hit Chance Increase replaces Faster Cast Recovery there, and Damage Increase/Spell Damage caps are both raised. Also fixed: Cast Recovery being wrongly blocked on shields, and "Upgrade Max" silently dropping a manually-picked property.
Every weapon now deals more base damage - roughly +4 to both the minimum and maximum, melee and ranged alike. A Scimitar that hit for 12-16 now hits for 16-20; every other weapon got the same flat bump. Swing speed is unchanged.
An item built and reforged before a server restart could later show a 0-point refund on Reset or Trade In. Root-caused to a real tracking bug, fixed, and every affected player's points have already been fully restored - no action needed.
Paragon Chests were scaling off the wrong internal number, leaving most of them nearly empty. Fixed - chests now correctly scale with the monster's real strength, and gold, gems, and treasure map variety are all increased on top.
Building and reforging gear at the Dungeon Warden now costs roughly twice as many points as before - a fully-forged item should feel like a real goal. To balance that, the Warden now buys back existing magic gear (artifacts, imbued items, runic drops) for Dungeon Forging Points, so nothing you've already earned gets left behind.
Two changes at once: you can now Mark a rune inside a dungeon and Recall straight back to it instead of walking the same path every run, and monster spells like Flame Strike and Chain Lightning hit noticeably harder against players. Dungeons should feel like a real threat again without being unfair.
A handful of players found their character silently renamed to "Generic Player" with no explanation and no way to fix it. Root-caused and fixed - anyone still stuck with that name will be prompted to pick a real one automatically the next time they log in.
Dungeon kills now have a chance to drop Dungeon Forging Points - a new currency you spend with the Dungeon Warden to build a piece of gear from scratch or reforge something you already own, picking exactly which properties it carries. Tiered weight budgets, weapon-specific damage procs, a custom hue unlock, and a full refund-based reset if you want to start over.
Real report: corpses were piling up world-wide instead of clearing out. A corpse's fresh-to-bones transition never marked itself as "already bones," so it looped back into the bones stage forever instead of ever finishing. Fixed - already-stuck corpses clear out on their own over one more decay cycle, no action needed on your end.
A run of real fixes closed out the Summoner class end to end: the Elemental Tome and Necromancer Spellbook are now sold (with spells already learned) once you unlock the track, new summons no longer spawn at half health, and Summoner Grimoire XP from your minions'/pets' kills actually banks again - all three were silently broken until now.
Found and fixed a travel path that bypassed the Felucca-first policy. This shard's Trammel-hiding checks now cover it too, alongside a new periodic safety sweep that catches anyone who slips through by a route we haven't found yet - closing the gap faster than waiting on a relog.
A cluster of real reports around area-effect abilities (breath attacks, poison clouds, auras) turned up a genuine targeting gap - your own minions no longer turn on you or each other, party and bystanders are protected, and a griefing loophole with red/gray players is closed. Also new: Recall & Mark scrolls at every mage vendor.
Decay time now depends on what's actually on the corpse - a full hour for a player's own death, 25 minutes for a monster carrying something valuable, and a fast 8-minute cleanup once anything's been taken. Every corpse visibly turns to bones along the way, and hovering over one shows a live, ticking countdown (toggle it off with [CorpseTimer if you'd rather not see it).
A single Grimoire now covers all six tracks (Macing, Swords, Fencing, Archery, Magic, and Summoner). Unlock a track for gold, activate up to 2-3 at once for free, and level all the way to 100 with hard per-effect caps keeping the climb balanced.
Parry can now block spell damage, not just melee. Walk straight through your own (and non-hostile) pets instead of getting boxed in. Plus new Chainmail Earrings/Necklace/Ring, longer item decay timers, and a couple of real bugs found and fixed - including one that could delete the weekly raffle prize.
The second Summoner archetype is live - Bind Elemental (a permanent pick, up to a 3,000 HP Valorite Elemental), Elemental Storm (a temporary swarm), and its own Elemental Tome spellbook.
The Necromancer archetype is live - Raise Undead (a permanent minion, up to a 3,000 HP Bone Dragon), Undead Army (a temporary swarm that grows with your Summoner Grimoire), and the Grimoire itself.
Found and fixed the real cause of getting two-shot by ordinary monsters: uncapped monster damage scaling. Plus new baked-in Life Leech for melee, a spell damage+sustain boost for mages, and tougher pets for tamers.
Peacemaking, Provocation, and Discordance can now actually land on Paragons and colored (Uncommon/Rare/Epic/Legendary) monsters at 100-120 skill - previously they had zero chance. Boss monsters stay immune, on purpose.
Bandage healing up 25% with a flat 4s self-heal time, Parry works more often against monsters, and even a failed parry now blunts the hit - up to 40% less damage at GM Parry.
Magic Resist joins the Free Skills list (now 24 skills) - train it all the way up without it competing with your main template's skill points.
Paragon spawn chance roughly halved, Paragon Chest odds tripled, and loot tier now actually tracks how much tougher a paragon fight really is.
A new Uncommon tier, every rarity now visible by body color, names that say what they are, and a Legendary tame that finally feels like one (~7x a normal tame's HP/damage).
Walk into a dungeon like everyone else - Recall and Gate Travel no longer teleport you straight in. Leaving is unaffected, works exactly as before.
Dragons, big cats, and other high-anger creatures used to have about 1 real taming attempt in 20. That's roughly 9 in 10 now.
Stat gain chance eased from 15% to 10%, and Veteran Reward levels now unlock every 2 weeks instead of daily - a more measured long-term pace.
Adventures Board hunts re-curated so danger tags reflect the actual monster, new Legendary boss bounties, and a long-requested Abandon Hunt button.

Decoding now genuinely requires real Cartography skill instead of succeeding at near-zero investment. Maps also show their level right in their properties - Level 1 (Stash) through Level 5 (Trove).
Build a full underground floor that automatically matches your house's footprint, choose from 14 styles, and get +500 lockdowns/+250 secures while it's built. Available from the Real Estate Broker (120k gold) or the Quest Rewards vendor (750 QP).
Several tough creatures - including one that guaranteed a map on every kill - were dropping treasure maps far more often than intended. Drop chances are now tuned to a consistent, fair rate across the board.
The Clean Up Britannia barrel now accepts almost anything (except quest, insured, or blessed items), ammo/reagent stacks are bulk-priced to keep the economy sane, and pets now keep pace while following instead of lagging behind.
We've submitted our application to bring UO Oasis to the browser-based ClassicUO Web Client - no download required. It's pending approval on their end with no set timeline. We'll post here the moment it's ready.
Finishing a hunt wasn't paying out its Quest Points - your [Hunts log now shows a Claim Reward button, and any hunt you already finished is still there waiting. Repair Bench's Repair All is also now fully all-or-nothing.
The Grimoire's "Buy Down XP to Next Level" option was converting bonus points into far more XP than intended. The exchange rate is now corrected to a fair top-off, not a shortcut around the grind.
Hunt monster families for a new Quest Points currency, spend it on a 130+ item reward vendor, track two rotating bonus dungeons, and repair gear at a bench the same easy way NPC blacksmiths do it.
The Grimoire window now shows one clean summary line per bonus type instead of one per level, and the Mythic Character Token's skill-point cap now correctly matches what its own warning message has always said.

Young characters couldn't reach Felucca by any travel method - moongates, teleporters, recall, and more. That's fixed, alongside a round of engine-side stability hardening. Restart's done, everyone's back online, no character data affected.
A routine deploy briefly caused some characters to appear missing on staging and then the live shard overnight. We restored from a verified backup immediately and confirmed no character data was ever actually lost — full details on what happened and what we've changed.

We've been hardening the server against crashes and data loss — better error handling throughout, stronger safeguards around save data, and a new safety net so an accidentally deleted character isn't gone for good.
Earn a blessed Grimoire from the Grimoire Master and level it up by fighting — Macing, Swords, Fencing, Archery, and Magery each have their own 20-level progression with real combat bonuses to choose as you go.
Four new roaming elite monster types, a Normal/Rare/Epic/Legendary rarity system for prestige tameables like Dragons and Nightmares, Paragons now spawning shard-wide, and Ethereal mounts no longer costing a pet slot.
Type [hunger to check your Well Fed status and regen bonuses, with a live countdown until it wears off. Plus, Recall and Mark no longer require any Magery skill to cast — anyone can use them.
Felucca is now the shard's primary facet, with open PvP extended to Ilshenar, Malas, Tokuno, and the Eodon Valley. Trammel is now staff-only; anyone still saved there is automatically relocated to Felucca on login.
Accounts per IP is now capped at 3 (down from 5), house decay for inactive accounts moved from 30 days to 6 months, and magic item / artifact drop rates were rebalanced to more traditional odds. Felucca's hidden +1000 luck bonus is now visible in your character stats.

Fixed an issue where the Razor assistant could fail to load UO data files on some installs, plus several under-the-hood reliability improvements to keep patching fast and consistent for everyone.
RazorEnhanced now runs alongside Razor without crashing, Global Chat got colored names + a [ChatToggle opt-out + readability fixes, double-click now equips gear straight from your backpack, and "Elves Only" items can be worn by any race.

The UO Oasis Launcher above is a Windows installer. Mac and Linux players can still join us with standalone ClassicUO, connected to our server manually — takes a few extra minutes, one-time setup.

Want Razor anyway? It's possible using Whisky, a free Wine-based Windows compatibility layer for Mac. This is a community workaround — unofficial, unsupported, and not something we've tested ourselves.
